Abstract

The dairy farms are important project for the different sectors in Egypt and the profit are so different between these different sectors and the most important factors that affect the profit for these dairy projects are the feed costs and also veterinary costs (although the percent is very low as compared with the total costs) but ignorance of these veterinary costs as vaccination programs may leads to spreading of diseases and failing of the project. This study was carried out during the period extended from 2005 to 2008 on random samples for dairy production farms in Egypt and Germany, the data collected from the samples (raw data) contains different parameters needs to evaluate the economic, productive and reproductive efficiencies of dairy farms . the researcher collected 809 dairy records from 809 farms, where 489 farms in Egypt and 320 in Germany. These dairy records conatins 3 sectors, 5 localities and 5 different breeds in Egypt, where in Germany these records conatains 2 sectors, 6 localities and 4 breeds for dairy production. Also the researcher considered the different housing systems applied to dairy farms in the two countries and different numbers of animal per farms and numbers of dairy animal per each farm
