Abstract
The research (Means of Entertainment and Amusement in Ancient Egypt and in Islamic ages) aims at throwing light on Means of Entertainment and Amusement in Ancient Egypt and in Islamic ages as a principal part of the human life through studying of different pictures on the walls of the temples and tombs in ancient Egypt and on the art works and applied masterpieces in Islamic Egypt. This study revealed that many of the means of entertainment that have spread in Islamic Egypt are an extension for others used in ancient Egypt except those means that did not agree with the Islamic creed or the traditions developed by the Muslims. Such means of entertainment diversified between music, dancing, singing and sports of different kinds weather physical or mental .The thesis is divided into an introduction and six parts followed by the conclusion, in addition to the appendix of plates and figures.
