Abstract prepare small mercury cells for the realization of the triple point of mercury on the ITS-90 , for the calibration purpose of a small temperature sensors which are widely used in research work and in industry.The cells for the realization of ITS-90 must be prepared from very high purity materials .For this purpose the mercury used for filling cells purified by using chemical technique followed by distillation under vacuum. Two cells were prepared for the realization of mercury triple point and the other for the reJ3.11zation of the mercury melting point A comparison between MI5 triple point cell and the CO””” 1 1 -F ~ 1 l.::.rl _’ ~_ • ....L. -L ..1~ .J_ .! . ..L ~_. ”_’I. with standard sample f r om standards and Technology U.S.A ( NIST) was carried out. The triple point temperature of pure mercury for the ° 0 prepared cell is( -38.8329 C +.0007 C) and that for NIST cell is (-38.8339 o 0 C + 0.0007 C) . good These results are in agreement with each other and with its adopted value on ITS - 90 which is (- 38,8344 °C)(l) .
