Abstract The objective of the present work aims to study the physico-mechanical properties of pozzolanic cements made from three pozzolanic materials such as blast-furnace granulated slag, homra and silica fume. The water of consistency and setting times of each blend were determined. Also, the kinetics of hydration were investigated from determination of combined water and TGA of some hydrated cement pastes. The hydration products were also identified from the DTA, XRD and FT-IR spectra for the hydrated cement pastes. The mechanical properties of cement pastes such as bulk density, total porosity and compressive strength up to 90 days were also determined |
