Abstract
The thesis comprises eight chapters. chapter I this chapter includes ageneral introduction on the compounds used throughout the whole thesis concerning their structures physical properties pharmaceutical preparations pharmacological actions uses and literature review.chapter II this chapter deals with the kinetic spectrophotometric determination of atenolol,metoprolol tartarate and timolol maleate in pharmaceutical preparations. the methods is based on the alkaline oxidation of the cited drugs with KMno4 and the formed manganate species is measured at 610 nm.
