Abstract

One of the largest occurrences of uranium mineralization in the world is found in Brazil associated with Na-Ca metasomatism. So, this study is a trial to characterize the typology, petrology, geochemistry and spectrometry of albite granites in two different areas (Urn Naggat and Abu Dabbab) to determine if this enrichment was magmatic or metasomatic and explore the uranium mineralization which expected with the albitized granite.Urn Naggat area: is located at the southern part of the central Eastern Desert (ED), about 40km from Queseir —Mersa Alarn asphaltic road (at Ash-Sheikh Maleic shrine). The area covers about 100km2 of the Basement rocks of Egypt, and it is bounded by latitudes 25° 26’, 25° 32’ N and longitudes 34° 11’, 34° 17’ E.This area is covered by serpentinites and talc carbonate, metavolcanics,gabbro-diorite complex, older granites (tonalities-granOdiorites) and younger granites which form the main rock type of the area. The younger granites are composed essentially of biotite granite, but at the northern part of the pluton there is albit granite has nearly E-W trend. There are alteration zones at the eastern and northern parts of the pluton. Clear contacts between trachyte plugs and the adjacent rocks are recorded at the southern part of the area. Many dykes are recorded in the area range from basic to acidic one.The area has many trends range in length from many meters to several tens kilometers. The major trends are NW-SE, N-S, NNW-SSE, and E-W
