Abstract

this study is conducted to fulfill the following aims:1- to determine in the level of antitoxin for diphtheria and tetanus in the target pregnant women before receiving the vaccines 2-to assess the staffs’ communication with pregnant women concerning tetanus vaccine.
The return of epidemic diphtheria throughout the NIS of former soviet after more than 30 years of successful control emphasizing the need for achieving high levels of diphtheria immunity among adults and children in all other countries .In addition to DTP and DT vaccines at pre- school and school age , td boosters should be administered every 10 years.However , TT vaccine should be replaced by Td vaccine every where TT is needed .Evaluating the mother knowledge about tetanus disease and its preventive measures and assessing the staffs.
