Abstract The aim of this work is to evaluate the results of repair of anterior penile hypospadias if we use urethral stent with suprapupic diversion or urethral splint only. Also, to compare which of them is better regarding the rate of complications such as urethral fistulae; stricture; bladder spasm; obstruction; others. Aiming finally for the refinement of the currently used hypospadias repair procedures. Our results were as follow: 1- For (TIP) success rate was (82%). Complication rate was 12% for (group I) and 24% for (group II). 2- For (OIF) success rate was (87.5%). Complication rate was 0% for (group I) and 25% for (group II). 3- For (TPIF) success rate was (87.5%). Complication rate was 0% for (group I) and 25% for (group II). 40 For Mathieu success rate was (81, 25%). Complication rate was 0% for (group I) and 37, 5 % for (group II). As we noticed complications of hypospadias repair as fistulae, meatal stenosis, urethral stricture and others are lower in patients with suprapupic diversion accompanied with urethral stent than those with urethral splint only. So, we recommend in hypospadias repair operations to use suprapupic diversion and urethral stent as routine work. |
