Abstract
This research aims to value the importance of the site of al - Muqattam versant which refers to various periods, beginning with the fatimid period to the Ottoman period, each one of them has its own architectural and decorative characteristics, also it aims to demonsrtate the touristic value of the site and the problems delaying its development. The site was used as a funerary place,therefore, it contains some religious foundations such as mosques, Khanqahs, tikiyas and mausoleums. The research is divided into an introduction and three parts, the first one treated Islamic mouments from the Fatimid period, the secons part treaqd Ottoman period, finally the study is elaorated by results obtained from this research, also it’s illustrated by the plans, figures and plates.
