المستخلص The electronic absorption spectra of cinnamoyl azides have not yet been studied. In this work one investigate the electronic absorption spectra of cinnamoyl azide, p-chlorocinnamoyl azide, p-nitrocinnamoyl azide, and p-methoxycinnamoyl azide. for comparison the spectra of cinnamic acid were investigated. In cinnamoyl azide many structure parameters impose their effects, on the electronic spectrum of the molecule. Polarity of the molecule, space orientation, interaction between the azide and carbonyl group, interaction between azide group and propenoyl residue, and interaction between the propenoyl residue and benzene ring will all have significant effect on the electronic spectra of cinnamoyl azide. |
