Abstract

circumoval precipitation test and, sputum analysis for tubercie bacilli.
Bilharzial patient a proved by finding ova in urine or stool and positive C.O.P.T. with no apparent chest lesions. While chest patients were choicen with No bilharzial ova and negative C.0.P.T, but positive sputum for tubercie bacilli.
The assessement of the immune status of our cases were carried out by intradermal skin test using chistosoma mansoni adult antigen which were adjusted to 30 ug N./ml nitrogen concentration and 0.05 ml were injected intraderma].ly,a control solution is also injected, In addition we use P.P.D. antigen which was obtained from Park. Davis company. U.S.A injected at a dose of 0.1 ml also Mumps antigen obtained from Eli—Lilly Company, injected at a dose of 0.1 ml.
The immediate reaction were observed after 15
minutes, the Arthus after 5 hours and the delayed from 24-48 hours.
Positive criteria for measurement of intradermal bilharzial skin test was 1.0 cm2 or greater for immediate reaction, 2. 5 cm2 or greater for arthus reaction and 0.6 cm2 for delayed reaction.
