Abstract

The first study This study was carried out to study the soil content of organic matter, humic and fulvic acids and their vertical distribution in soil profiles and also to determine HAand FA cotent of total acidity, functional groups (COOH,total OH, alcoholic OH and phenolic OH) . The important data of this study were as follows: Alluvial soil profiles content of humic acid took the following order: Kafer El-Marazka Village > Teba 1 Village > Teba 7 Village and the order with fulvic acid was Teba 1 Village > Teba 7 Village > kafer El-Marazka Village. On the anther hand the calcareous soil content of humic acid took the follows order: Hosha 13 > Hosha 18 > El-Amiria and this order for fulvic acid was: El-Amiria > Hosha 13 > Hosha 18. Alluvial and calcareous soil profiles content of humic acid decreased with the increasing of soil depth and the content of fulvic acid increased until depth 60 to 80 cm and then decreased with the increasing the depth. Fulvic acid contents of total acidity and functional groups (COOH, total OH, alcoholic OH and phenolic OH ) meq/g were higher than humic acid in both allvial and calcareous soils and total acidity decreased with increasing the depth. The second study. This study was carried out to study the content and vertical distribution of heavy metals (Zn, Cu, Pb, Ni and Cd ) forms total – available (Av) – combined with humic acid (HA-metal) – combined with fulvic acid (FA-metal) . relationships between some soil properties and its content of different forms of the heavy metals were calculated.
