Abstract
This thesis deals with the extension of internal model control technique to systems with delay in both states and control. Attention is focused on the design of robust controllers to satisfy stability and performance requirements.
The application of internal model control technique for robust control of heating system with two heat exchangers is presented. This application is investigated at some length and the designed controller leads to good tracking performance.
