Abstract
This study was carried out on 120 children of 4-14 years of age attending the out-patient clinic of Alexandria University Hospital.ChiIdren were examined to evaluate AC/A ratio and its relation to the refractive errors.Every child had a general ophthalmological examination.Visual acuity was evaluated by three charts :Landolt’s, E and picture charts .The studied sample included 66 males and 54 females.Visual acuity determination showed that the examined eyes which achieved 6/6 V. A were 61.66% by Landolt ’s chart ,60.83% by E chart and 42.5%by picture chart.There was a tendency towards lesser visual acuity estimation especially by picture chart in younger ages.Cycioplegic refraction was done.Full correction of the refractive errors was given .
