Abstract The material of this work included 30 patients 16 of them (53.33%) had non union and 14 (46.66%) had delayed union of fracture of their tibiae. Out of the 16 cases of non union 7 cases (43.75%) were hypertrophic and 9 cases (65.25%) were atrophic non union. All were treated by excision of a segment form the fibula, double-pin fixation, one above in the tibial tubercle and one belov above the ankle joint incorporated in an above knee plaster with encouragement of early and full weight bearing. |
