Abstract

There was a significant increase in the germination percentage the speed of germination the germination index (GI) and the coefficient of velocity (CV) of tomato seeds as respect of magnetizing of seeds magnetizing of water and double magnetizing of water and seeds if compared with the control seeds .
Also the results showed that the highest values in the germination percentage was recoded by magnetized water treatment , in the speed of germination and the coefficient of velocity (CV) were by treating with magnetized water , while in the germination index (GI) was by the double magnetizing of water and seeds. Regarding the mean long period of germination (day) of tomato seeds the results showed a significant decrease as the result of magnetic treatments as compared with the control and the shortest period was recorded in the magnetized water treatment.
2- As for the pepper seeds, the germination percentage, the speed of germination, the germination index (GI) and the coefficient of velocity (CV) of pepper seeds was significantly inceased due to the application of magnetic technologies (magnetized seeds, magnetized water and double magnetized seed and water treaments) comparing with the control seeds. The highest germination percentage was recorded by magnetized seeds and magnetized water treaments, meanwhile in the speed of germination and coefficient of velocity (CV) was observed in the treatment of magnetized water, but in the germination index (GI) was magnetized seeds. On the other hand, the mean long period of germination (day) of pepper seeds was significantly decreased due to the application of magnetic technologies and the shortest period was recoded by the magnetized water treatment.
