Abstract
the work was carried out vpon the adult mice to study the effects of alcohol on the structure of the liver and the protective effect of zinc. The animals of this study were divided into three groups. In group I the control group the animals were given isocaloric maltorse solution. In group II animals were given ethanol 3 doses of ethanol of 5g/kg by gavage at 12 hours interval. In group III the animals were given zinc sulphate intra peri toneally for 3 days before ethanol. After last dose of ethanol by about 4 hours the animals were sacrificed.
