Abstract Choriocarcinoma is highly malignant lesion of the trophoblast nowadays its incidence is decreased as it is diagnosed earlier by its tumour marker which is H-hCG that appears to reliably identify active trophoblastic malignancy . Choriocarcinoma has a very good prognosis as it is highly curable tumour by its chemosensitivity to EMA/CO. The overall cure rate in the treatment of these GTN now exceeds 90%. Long term follow-up of patients with high-risk GTN indicates that the overall 5-year survival is now over 86%. Preservation of fertility after treatment of GTN is possible, many patients have a high probability of success and a favorable outcome of pregnancy. |
