Abstract Metoclopramide hydrochloride is a potent antiemetic, gastroprokinetic drug. the short half-life of the drug and the side effects that arise from fluctuations of plasma concentrations made it a suitable candidate for controlled release. Recently , controlled release preparations of metoclopramide were found to be effective in the management of gastrointestinal symptoms accompanied with cancer-associated dyspepsia syndrome, including nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite and bloating. |
