Abstract The purpose of this study was to identify different predisposting factors of gastritis and to determine the impact of nutritional regimen on reducing gastritis in elderly people. This study used the interviewing questionnaire sheet to collect demographic, medical data, and data about predisposting factors of gastritis, in addition to knowledge about diet. As well as, a 24-hour dietary recall sheet. The study revaled that, the main causes of gastritis were obesity, smoking, presence of chronic health problems, druga, eating salty and fatty foods, adding to much pepper, drinking cola and tea, using oral contraceptive pills for long time, and caned fruits. |
