Abstract
Test the study hypothesis
2. Try to find answers to the following questions:
a. how prevalent is social phobia in school/university
students,
b. what is the characteristic symptom profile of Egyptian
sufferers in compared to other countries,
c. what are the prevalent subtypes in the studied population,
d. what are the socio-demographic correlates of social phobia
in the study population,
e. how does the disease affect the sufferers’ functioning and
quality of life.
3. Finally, the study will attempt provide guidelines to direct
health resources towards better recognition and treatment of
social phobia.
