Abstract

The present study was carried out to detect the role of marine water fishes m transmitting some parasitic diseases to man through consumption of market fishes improperly cooked or raw fish infected with he larval stages of these parasites in the large band muscles of fish body. In addition, the methods of control of these encysted metacercariae as grilling, frying and freezing were carried out in this study. Moreover, biological analysis of sea water from the locality of catching fish to detect the pollution-parasitism relationship.
398 marine water fishes (Sebastes inarinus ., Sardina pi!chardus and Boops boops from El- Anfoshy market) and (Siganus revulatus, Sardina pilchardus and Boops hoops from El-Mex Market) were collected and examined for the presence of parasitic larval stages. The obtained data revealed the following:
1. The over all incidence of the infestation with encysted metacercariae was 15.1 %in the examined fishes.
2. The rates of infestation with encysted metacercariae were 44.4 %,
43.5 % and Zero % in examined Sebastes marinus , Boops hoops and Sardina pilchardus from El - Anfoshy market ,but the examined marine fishes from El-Mex market were free from encysted metacercariae.
