المستخلص Failed tympanoplasty and atelectatic ear are considered to be a difficult to treat conditions, controversies exist as which technique and graft type to be used. The ear surgeons of today have at their disposal, a wide range of surgical procedures for the treatment of chronic suppurative otitis media. The aim of the current study was to evaluate cartilage palisade tympanoplasty in treatment of failed tympanoplasty and atelectatic tympanic membrane as regards taking of the graft and hearing improvement. This study was carried out at the ENT department, Faculty of medicine, Alexandria University. Twenty patients suffering from either failed tympanoplasty or atelectatic tympanic membrane were enrolled in the study. |
