Abstract
The aim of this work has focused on cognitive
impairment as a general indicator of intellectual decline following
ischemic stroke.
This study was conducted on 90 patients with I” ischemic cerebral
stroke Thirty out of them were not enrolled in the study (five puiiens
were died before 3 month examination, seventeen patients refused
neuropsychological assessment and eight patients whose reasons were
not identified.
Patient’s age ranged from 11-75 years with the mean age
55.06±10.4, of them there were 37 male (61.7%) and 23 female
(38.3%).
