Abstract

Extensive studies were run all over the world during the last years to synthesis some new compounds derivatives which possess anticancer effect with less toxicity and have the ability to increase the survival time.
The present study deals with Diels-Alder (D-A) 1,4 cyclo addition of hexachlorcyclopentadiene (HCP) with two different dienophiles of allylic type. The first dienophile is a new prepared one (p-amino allyl benzoate) and its structure was confirmed. The second is 1,2-Epoxy-5-Hexene. The structures of the two prepared chlorinated adducts (amino and epoxy) were confirmed by infrared spectra, proton nuclear magnetic resonance, and some other analytical methods. The effect of variations in the reaction conditions: temperature, initial molar ratio, and reaction duration time were studied in order to know the optimum conditions for obtaining maximum yield. The (D-A) reactions in concern were carried out without catalyst or solvent. The two new hexachloro (amino and epoxy) adducts revealed high effect as antitumor activity.
The cationic polymer-mixed metal complexes (P-4VPMc) and (P-2VPMc) have been prepared and characterized by analytical measurement such as: molecular weight, elemental analysis, IR-spectroscopy, NMR-spectroscopy, XRD, and UV. Antitumor activity of (P-4VPMc) and (P-2VPMc) were evaluated. The present study revealed pronounced antitumor activity of the (P-4VPMC) and (P-2VPMC) which could pass through the membrane and interact with the tumor cells, producing changes that would finally cause cytotoxicity.
