Abstract
This study was carried out on 6 groups of one – day – baby Hubbard chicks each of 20 to study the effect of amoxycillin (5gm/ L drinking water) for 5 successive days and levamisole 7.5 mg/L drinking water for 3 days twice on the cell mediated and humoral immune responses as well as on some blood picture parameters. The obtained results revealed that amoxycillin depressed the cell-mediated and humoral immune responses in both non- vaccinated and vaccinated chickens with ( coccivac®-B) whereas, levamisole stimulated the cell mediated and humoral immune responses of both non- vaccinated and vaccinated chickens. Like wise , vaccination of healthy chickens with coccivac®-B elicited a significant cell mediated and humoral immune responses . The total RBCs counts and Hb content were significantly decreased and increased in non vaccinated and vaccinated chickens in response to amoxycillin and levamisole respectively.
