Abstract

A new view of development which is termed in the last decade is termed to be ”sustainable development has emerged as an alternative to the conventional view. The term sustainable development is now popularly used by scholar, development practitioners and professionals in various disciplines, but its exact meaning is still vague. Convention views of development overlook the limitation of the natural resources that support all human activities. The benefits of development which first reach the higher ranks of the society will then the society will then gradually ”trickle down” to the lower ranks. This process should result in social equality. So, it is argued here that indigenous knowledge can the basis of development especially if we need for this development to be sustainable, as well as it is playa very important role in the sustainable development.
‎Indigenous knowledge (IK) is local knowledge that is unique to a given culture or society. It is the basis for Urban, agriculture, health care, food preparation, education, environmental conservation and a host of other activities. Much of such knowledge is passed down trom generation to generation, usually verbally. Indigenous knowledge is the knowledge that people have gained through inheritance trom their ancestors. It is a people-derived science and it represents people’s creativity, innovations and skills.
‎So, in order that we may focus on the many other sites, which exist allover the study area (Northern Western Coast Hinterland) of cultural, natural resources, environmental characteristics, people activities, innovations and skills, we need to develop these sites, as well as instill awareness of their importance in the population surrounding them.
‎Aim of the Research
‎The main objective of this study is to represents a combination of urban development and conservation of the natural resources along the study area. It requires that the productivity of the ecosystem not be sacrificed for short term production gains. Also, goal of sustainable development is lasting improvement in the quality of life and the main problems which affect on the development along the study area.
‎Research Structure
‎The research is divided into two-parts; the first part is concern about the theoretical study of the research. It is divided into three chapters. The second part is concern about the field work and results with discussion and conclusions. It is divided into three chapters, in addition to an introduction and lists of bibliographical material and appendices.
‎Introduction
‎It is contains the main issues that are to be dealt with in this study, and its objectives, in addition to the systematic approach towards its handling.

‎The pot~nti31 value and suggest applications of indigenous knowledge systems for development of environment planning can be summarized as: Indigenous knowledge of resource management provides a valuable information base which could be used (with adaptations) in management of natural resources for environmental planning. Also, use of indigenous knowledge in the planning of development projects generally
‎facilitates that participation of the beneficiaries.
‎Part Two: The Practical Part:
‎It is contains the third, fourth, fifth and sixth chapters.

This netWork (by using the Geographic information system, GIS) deal with collected all the data about Urban development and the affects on the Environmental characteristics. Also, introduce sustainable development plan basis on indigenous knowledge, biodiversity and environmental planning. Also this netWork introduces (a) generating knowledge based on a sophisticated understanding of their environment, (b) devising mechanism to conserve and sustain their natural resources, and (c) establishing community-based organizations that serve as forums for identifying problems and dealing with them through local-level experimentation, innovation, and exchange of
‎information with other societies.
‎The research also clarifies the important of establish national national and regional preservation authorities to deal with such issues as inter-governmental, public and private investment matters, as we as ’direction citizen’ awareness towards the importance of the sustainable development with indigenous knowledge as essential to
