Abstract
The present study mainly aimed at investigating the effectiveness of using some instructional activities on developing English language discrimination and recognition listening skills for first year secondary students.
The suggested activities had a positive effect on developing listening discrimination and recognition skills for first year secondary students. Moreover, there was an observable improvement in the experimental group’s performance on the listening comprehension skills posttest.
