Abstract

Nowadays, large quantitites of pesticides have been produced and discharged into the environment. Gungicied are a distinctive group of pesticides, they have been intensively used to combat fungal diseases of fields crops. Mancozeb is an ethylene – bis-dithiocarbamate fungicide, it is alos known by the trade name (Dithan-M45). It is used in egypt against a wide range of fungal disease. Although all good antifungal effects on mancozeb, it was implicated in numerous serious side effects on human and animals.
In recent few years, there was a substantial increase iin the use of the so-called complementary and alternative medicine by patient with different diseases and there was a decrease in suing chemical compounds. Some plants, herbs and spices act as alternative medicine which ginger (Zingiber officianle) is one of them.
The present work was conducted to examine the morphological, histological, histo chemical and biochemical effect of ginger (Zingiber officinale) against the toxicity induced by mancozeb fungicide in some endocrine glands of albino rats; testis, adrenal and thyroid.
