Abstract
The aim of the present study present study was:
Evaluation of the effect of mirazid as a new antischistosomal drug in compration with praziquantel (the drug of choice in schistosomiasis) on experimental infected mice through: -Parasitological study.
-Histological study. -Histochemical study. -Scanning electron microscopy (SEM). An in vitro study on Schistosoma manasoni worms will be also carried out on the appearance and mortality of worms, scanning electron microscopic changes and gel electrophoresis of schistosomal nucleic acids, after their exposure to the drug.
