Abstract
In the rational design and evaluation of dosage forms of drugs, the stability of the active components must be a major criterion in determining their suitability. Several forms of instability can lead to the rejection of a drug product. There are two main degradative routes, physical routes, such as, vaporization and chemical routes, such as, solvolysis, oxidation and dehydration. One of the most famous chemical degradative routes of drug products is photolysis (1, 2).
Normal sunlight or room light may cause substantial degradation of drug molecules.
