Abstract
The main results of the present study reveled that: Statistically significant difference between the findings pre-and post-program, where proved that nurses knowledge has increased . These results ensured that the use of the self-learning package had a greatly positive impact on the nurses knowledge and performance regarding nutritional care of the hospatialized elderly patients. Recommendations: According to the result of the present of the study the following Recommendations were suggestted: 1- simple booklet should be available for nursing administrative department with simple explanation for the common diseases among elderly, proper diet advice, to train the nursing personnal to act positively in nutritional counseling of the elderly.
