Abstract
The aim of the present thesis is to study the effectiveness of the tar RTCB-5 on stabilisation of standard sand. experimental investigations have been out to study the influence of drying and curing times, tar content and percentage of mineral filter on the stability of the sand-tar mixtures. laboratory tests have been performed to study ,the properties of tar and sand, the amount of volatiles and water requiredto ahieve maximum stability, compaction of mixtures and their stabilty
