Abstract The thesis pertains to the removal and recovery of direct dyes from aquecus solution, using basically macro-reticular strong and weak-base anion-exchange resins. Batch operation, column operation, and fluidization have been applied for ion-exchange. The thesis has emphasized in the theoretical part on the various techniques which have been cited in the literature for the decolorization of dyeing wastewater, recovery or demposition of dyes. The theoretical part also presents the theoretical background of mixing and segregation of binary particle mixture in fluidization. A theoretical background of ion-exchange is also presented. |
