Abstract In this work 612 samples representing 68 udder surface, 272 first strip milk and 272 quarter milk samples were, -collected from private and Fac. Agr. Cairo Univ., dairy farms from apparently healthy dairy cattle. These samples were examined bacteriologically for ,isolation, and identification of various microorganisms. Baceriological examination revealed that:— *All examined udder surface samples (100%) were contaminated with saprophytic bacteria such as Anthracoid. Proteus. spp. Citrobacter spp. 78% of samples were infected with mixed pathogeries such as E. ccli (61.8), Proteus app. (14. 7), Cl. perfringens (8. 8), Staph. aureus (5.9), Strept. agalactiae and Coryne. pyogenes (4.4) each, Staph. epidermidis and Nicrococci app. (2.9) each, Strept. dysgalactiae and Citrobacter app. (1.5%) each.
