Abstract
Summary
In Egypt, there has been a noticeable increase in the number of patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD).
-Therefore the study aimed at the following :
To assess through observation the nursing care given to hemodialysis patients with chronic renal failure.
proposal of nursing care program for hemodialysis patients.
To identify hindering factors affecting provision of nursing care of hemodialysis patients.
- This study was carried out at hemodialysis unit of Shebin El-Kom Hospital – Menoufia. The period of the study extended from the first of October to the end of January 1991.
- Tools of the study : for each collection 3 sheet were used :
1 – An observation sheet .
2 – An hindering factors identification sheet.
3 – An observation check list sheet of hemodialysis equipment.
