Abstract Rubella is a generally mild exaiithomatous infectious illness Ln which morbidity and mortality are usually minimal, Rubella gained ita present day importance in reported congenital defects in babies whose mothere got rubella during early pregnancy , The present study was conducted on 46 infe.its a^ed three to twelve months from those attending the outpatient clinic of r3l-3hatby Children’s Hospital. They were neither vaccinated ftgainat ^eruian measles nor contracted it or ajiy exantheinatous infectious disease , The present study showed that the percentage of inTants having detectable maternal antibodies against ^eraian measles were 90^ of infants three months old, 83.3$ oi’ infants u^ed six months, 66. 67’^ of infants nine moatha old and only 50% of infants agod twelve months , is a significant difference between the detec-table antibodies against ^erman jneasles in infants a^ed three months and those above twelve months of age . from the previous results, it is advised, that geman |
